New Basketball pictures

Wellsville hosted United Local this past Friday night and showed them exactly what Tiger Basketball is all about. Wellsville won 107-71, it was quite a game. Chad played very well, that boy can sure play some defensive ball. Here are some pictures of the game.

Wellsville played Leetonia last night and Chad played an excellent game as usual. He scored 4 points in the Reserve game and 3 points in the Varsity game and didn't foul out in either game... good job Chad. Waiting to get some pictures of him while he is playing, I don't get to take pictures working the door but there is a very nice man in town who has agreed to send me all the pictures he has of Chad playing so I can get them posted and also to have some for this sports books.

Not much else going on in our world this weekend, we are going out to Don and Karen's for dinner tomorrow night and then we have a TouchDown club meeting tomorrow night but other than that we are just gonna chill out. I hope everyone has a great rest of the weekend.

Long time

It has really been a long time since I posted anything here on my blog, I get caught up in my scrapbooking, helping Chelsea with her homework and going to all the ballgames that we can and I just forget to post on here. I am going to try to do better.

Chelsea got her report card today from the Career Center and she had a great first semester, 1 A and 2 B's, we are very proud of her, she has worked hard for her grades and she is doing a great job in the cosmetology department as well.

Chad has been doing fantastic this year in basketball, he does seem to foul out often but the boy plays a wonderful defensive game, his shot has improved this season and he got to dress Varsity last week. All of us are very proud of him and his Dad just beams, good thing the Elliott men are not competitive isn't it.....

Steven and Beth are doing well, the grandbabies are growing like weeds. It seems like there are never enough hours in the day to get to see them as often as I would like but we try to see them as much as we can.

Well, that is enough for now, but family..... I will try to get this updated more often.

Well today about did me in, I went to see Madison after my dr. appt. this afternoon and she was in rare form. She was just chattering away, I told her hi and called her an angel, she tried really hard to say angel after that but it just was not coming out. Just a little bit after that she looked at me and said GeeGee, that did it, she finally said what I have wanted to hear since the day she was born. Johnathan always calls me GeeGee with so much love in his voice and I am so excited that Madison was able to say it today, she was patting me on the knee and said GeeGee, I told her I loved her and she tried to say that back, our little baby girl is one smart cookie. Of course that could just be a grandmother's prejudice coming out. More later.

I have some new pictures to share with y'all, just everyday kind of stuff but that is the kind of pictures I actually prefer. Oh and a couple of pictures of Chad from last night's football game, they were in the paper so I scanned them into my trusty computer.

Madison is very expressive and she has her Pappy wrapped around her little finger, she never wants me, just Pappy. If I go to the kids house without Doug she will look at me and hold her hand up and shrug her shoulders and say Pap. Sort of like yeah ok, you're here but where is my Pap? We were at their house a couple of weeks ago and it was so nice out we sat outside, Madison decided to shuck all her clothes and was having nothing to do with putting them back on. Some kid had left a bike laying on the sidewalk so she decided she needed to check it out.

I am pretty sure that this picture shows that she is in training to be the next Mrs. Al Bundy with that hand in her diaper.

I am not sure what is so funny to her at this point but something sure was.

For some reason Maddy took off running, she looked so determined to get to where ever she was going, probably to Pap.

Yeah she was definitely heading for her Pap, looks like she is quite pleased with herself now.

Chad has a special relationship with our dog Missy, he is able to get her to do things that no one else can, like here where he is using her for a pillow.

I love this next picture, Doug and Chad were messing around on the couch and Chad just kind of collapsed on Doug and Doug laid his head on Chad. Don't let those eyes deceive you, Chad is actually grinning.

The next 2 pictures are from the ballgame last night, it was exciting to see Chad carry the ball, I wasn't to fond of it when all those other players would pile on him like they did but I gotta take the bad with the good I guess. The papers said that he rushed 10 times for 49 yards, it sure seemed like more yardage but the statistician recorded 49. He had 3 runs that were called back, you could tell he was getting very testy about that happening, Chelbug said "Look at Chad, he has his hands on his hips, he is getting mad". According to Joe Hall she was very right, I guess he had a few words to say in the huddle but I can't repeat them here. Chad played a good game, he said today that his ribs, arms and calves were sore, he took a knee in the ribs on one play. He had told me he was gonna get me a touchdown for my birthday yesterday and he sure did, when they all came off the field after the game he gave me a hug and said Happy Birthday, it was very sweet and meant a lot that he would hug me in front of all his buddies but lord he was wet, sweaty and stunk to high heavens but I was still glad to get the hug.

Chelsea started out at the Career Center on Monday, the 24th and so far she is having a blast. She is working on braids and roller sets right now, she braided my hair the other night and did a good job with what she had to work with. She said I am going to be her first haircut and I am hoping that I won't have to wait until next semester for that!! She comes here every afternoon and does her homework, I have even got her coming on the days she does not have homework to study her terms for anatomy and the cosmetology terms she needs to learn. Friday they had a test in her Cos lab and she made 100, she was so pleased with herself, they had another test in there and she made an 85, she was not to happy with that one because she knew the answer but she flipped her terms so it made her miss 2 questions but that was all she missed. She is really coming out of her shell and getting involved in things at school and she is very involved in her church youth activities. We have our Pre-Trial on Oct. 7th, that is when they will assign the Guardian Ad Lideum, but if Kerry will agree at that point then it will be over and Chelsea can come home. So keep good thoughts for us on this, Chelsea wants to be here and of course we want her here.

My Johnathan started 1st grade this year and so far so good, he likes school at this point so that helps, he is getting so big, it just amazes me every time I see him how much he is growing. He looks so much like Steven did at that age. Steven takes him to the bus stop everyday and then Johnathan goes to Steven's after school everyday, I never thought Steven and Maria living so close to each other would work but they have made the right choice (most of the time anyway) to work together for Johnathan. Johnathan stayed with Steven the majority of the summer and I was tickled about that since that meant we got to see him every time we went to see the kids.

My doctors can't seem to figure out what exactly is wrong with me, they think I have some form of Lupus so I saw another specialist on the 25th, he said I definitely have symptoms of Lupus but he is not sure that is what it is, he confirmed the diagnosis of Fibromyalgia, he is the 3rd specialist to confirm that one. He ordered a ton of lab work, 11 tubes worth of blood and a chest x-ray, I got my blood work done there but I am going to have my chest x-ray done here. I am sick and tired of feeling sick and tired and would like an answer to all this mess, hopefully this doc can give me one. I had lost 30 lbs when I got so sick but I am gaining it back since I can eat and keep it down, I would have liked to have kept it off but I like to eat. The way I was losing was not the way to do it for sure.

It has been a long time since I posted to my blog so I guess I better get things caught up.... but where to start.... well Madison turned 1 on May 10th, I can't believe she is already 1 and this girl does not walk anywhere, she runs. I can no more keep up with her than I can fly but Miss Madison is Pappy's girl for sure, when we go see them she starts squealing, yelling Pap Pap and begging for him to pick her up, she sees me and waves hi to me. I have tried to get that child to say GeeGee but it just is not happening, she won't even say G, but if I have a coke then she will come to me for a drink because she knows she is going to get one. She is quite the character. She calls Steven Daddy but she has started calling her mom Beth, I told Steven he is going to have to start referring to Beth as Mommy to get Madison to call her Mommy. Here is a picture of Madison at her birthday party.

We have gone fishing a few times so far this year, Chelsea always wants to go so she is always with us at the lake, we have taken her friends with us also, these girls are to funny, the first time we took Maria she wouldn't take her fish off the hook but now she is an old pro at it. Here is Maria with her first fish of the day.

The next time we went we took Maria and Mindy with Chelsea, Mindy would not bait her hook, she would not touch the fish and she sure wasn't going to take her fish off the hook but by the end of the day she was doing it all and having a good time doing it. Here is a picture of Mindy with her first fish.

Here is a nice picture of all 3 girls, it is great seeing them all together, Doug and I are both very fond of Maria and Mindy and of course we love our Chelbug.

Let's see, what else has happened this summer, I fell down the stairs at home and sprained my knee but have since found out it is not just a sprain but it is livable with. Chelsea fell off the steps at her mother's house and sprained her ankle pretty darn good, it looked real pretty in living color,

this particular picture was taken 2 days after the fall. Mindy helped Chelsea up and then she called Doug to let him know that Chelsea was hurt and they were trying to make their way to the fire station, Doug of course told them to stay put and he would come get them. He brought them home and Chelsea was hurting pretty badly so we propped her up on the sofa with pillows, put her leg and foot up higher than her heart to help with the swelling and we iced her ankle, she didn't much care for that part but she was a good girl and kept the ice on when we told her it was time. So she laid on the sofa, everyone waiting on her like the princess she is.

I messed up and hit publish to quick, took the kids for their routine eye exams, I was sure Chad would need stronger contacts because he was starting to squint, Chelbug had been having a lot of headaches lately and in trying to figure out why it finally dawned on me while she is not a big reader she does spend a lot of time on the computer and texting on her phone. So Chad got stronger contacts and he got to get the ones that he can sleep in and only has to take them out 1 night a week and change them once a month. Chelsea did indeed need glasses, she wanted contacts but finally decided she would rather just have glasses, she picked out the cutest frames, I tried to get her to get these cat eye glasses that had lots of bling on them but she said I was crazy.... imagine that. Anyway, here is a picture of Chelbug with her new glasses, she said she can see much better now and it is much easier to read her text messages and work on the computer and so far, no headaches, YEAH!!!

Chelsea is starting her Junior year at the career center taking cosmetology, she will go full day out there and she is pretty excited even though she starts school 2 days before Chad.

Let's see what has been going on with Chad, he has spent a lot of time with his girlfriend this summer, her name is Michael. She came to a family get together we had to celebrate BeeBee's birthday, she is a very pretty girl, she will be a Senior and I believe she is planning on attending Pittsburgh Technical Institute, I may have the school wrong. Here is a picture of Chad and Micheal, Chad actually smiled for the picture which is completely out of character for him.

We had a very good time that day, we played washers, I washed out pretty damn quick. Someone, namely Doug I am sure broke the cardinal rule and took a picture of me, of course I am getting ready to feed my face with birthday cake, and you can see that our angel was looking over my shoulder laughing.

Did I say our angel was looking over my shoulder, maybe I better rethink that angel status.

Ron and Kathy were at the gathering so of course I had to get some pictures of the brothers together, I had no idea what I had let myself in for.

I am not real sure who they were trying to convince that they still had some big muscles but no one that was there bought it for even a minute but it was quite amusing and we did get a good chuckle.

I guess this brings me to Chad and football, he was chosen to be one of the top 5 players on our team to watch this year and he got to be on the WTOV9's High School Super Site, here is a link for the info on Chad, they have had some 7 on 7 passing scrimmages, I only have pictures from one of those but here he is going out for a pass.

These next pictures are of Chad on media day at the football field, the first one is Chad and one of his best friends Joe Hall, the boys have played football together since they were 7 years old, I call Joe by a silly nickname, Joe Joe the Wonder Dog, don't know why but I do and bless his heart he always answers me.

This one is just Chad, I almost coaxed a slight grin out of him, almost!!

These next 2 pictures were taken 7 years apart, Chad and Doug, these pictures are very close to my heart. I tried to explain to Chad that every time he runs onto the field I expect to see the Chad that was taken in 2002. We had just finished playing Salem at Salem and I snapped the picture as Chad leaned up against Doug, Chad still plays football like he did in Little League football, the kid is all heart and hard work and we are very proud of him.

This is the last picture, it was taken yesterday 09/14/09, this season will give Chad his 3rd varsity letter in football, his senior year he will be the only 4 year letterman on the team.

This has been a busy summer that is for sure, we have had more doctor's appointments than I have had in my life I think, hopefully things will start to slow down for us for a bit and we crossing our fingers and toes and I have said a lot of prayers that our summer dream come true. I don't think I will be letting so much time get in the way of posting on my blog... it takes to long to get caught up. So to all my friends who might read this, I wish you well and peace in your life.

I got the prettiest digital scrapbook kit to work with from my friend Enigma over at Adventurous Scraps and the colors are perfect to do a couple of layouts of Chelsea from her first date. She looked so grown up in her red party dress and if you know me I never let a chance to use my camera slip away from me, the kit I used is called Hearts N Flowers and it was designed by Enigmaz Dezignz.

Well I have not posted anything in a long while now and I have a bunch of layouts to share with my family. I have been fortunate enough to be working on the Creative Team for a couple of digital scrapbooking stores, one is Plain Digital Wrapper and the other is a new store owned by my friends Enigma, Vanessa and Nancy. I need to get all these layouts posted so you can all see what great designers I have the good fortune of working with.

This is my granddaughter Madison, I made this layout using a beautiful kit called Day Break by Southern Creek Designs, you can get this kit at Plain Digital Wrapper.

This next layout I did is of a picture I took from our hotel when Doug and I took a trip to Ocean City, Maryland, it was just the two of us and we had a blast, I used a pretty kit called Drift Away, it was designed by Kanga and you can find it at Plain Digital Wrapper also.

The next layout is a Chelsea's band picture from this year, I thought her picture turned out really nice this year and I wanted to put together something to showcase what all she has done in band since she started. The background papers for this layout were made by Bev O'Loughlin and they are called Plain and Simple Darks, you can find this paper pack at Plain Digital Wrapper. I also used a very pretty heart string doodle that was made by my friend Katie, you can get her freebie heart string doodle on her blog Crazed's Creations.

The next layout here is Doug and his brothers, it was taken Christmas 2005 at their parent's house, it is not often we get them all together for a picture but when we do they like to ham it up. This layout was made using a wonderful kit called Industrial Elf designed by Julie.Itis and you can find it at Plain Digital Wrapper.

The last layout here is of Chelsea and her friends at the Military Ball last year, the kids seemed to have really enjoyed themselves at the dance. The layout was made using a kit designed by Gypsy Couture called Hey Sugarplum, the colors in the kit are wonderful and perfect for this picture. You can get this great kit at Plain Digital Wrapper.

I think that is all for tonight, I know I have more that I need to post so I will try and do that tomorrow. I am going to try and not wait so long between postings, it is hard to get them all caught up.

I forgot to include a couple of layouts in that last post, I don't know what I was thinking, well I guess I just wasn't thinking. Wellsville had a bonfire again this year before the football game against Southern Local, it was a nice night for the bonfire, it was just a bit cool so that was nice with the big ole fire. I took loads and I do mean loads of pictures from the time the parade lined up until the fire had burned out that night, I think I took like 100 shots, thank goodness for digital cameras. I did these 2 layouts but there will be more to come from that night, the first one of the layouts is of Doug and the twins, if you look close enough you can even tell that Chad was grinning just a little bit, I only had to threaten to make him stand there until I got a smile to get the grin so I took what I could get. I never have a problem getting Chelsea to smile, that girl has a beautiful smile and does not mind sharing it. The second layout is of Chelsea and my sister-in-law Karen, bless her heart, Karen is the shortest one in the family, when I married Doug she was still taller than the twins, not any more, they have certainly shot up over her in height.

I wanted to post some more layouts I have done this past couple of days, I am really enjoying being on the Creative Team at Plain Digital Wrapper, everyone is very friendly and eager to help one another, that is something that is wonderful to see and be a part of.

This first layout I am posting is a picture of Madison, she had only been home from the hospital a few days when this was take, if I am not mistaken this is one of the ones I took on her 2 week birthday. Beth had laid her down on a nice soft stuffed tiger that was Johnathan's but he said his baby sister could have it now since he is a big boy. Johnathan was amazed at how small Madison was and he acted like he was a bit afraid to touch her for a while, thankfully he has gotten over that. Now he wants to play with her but he is still not keen on holding her, he gets a look on his face like he is afraid she is going to break and this is one sturdy little girl now.

Christmas around my in-laws house is crazy, every year my mother-in-law says she is cutting back, not going to buy so much again this year, we all smile at her and nod yes because we all know better. Every year the living room is filled to overflowing. We all pile in the house and start munching out like crazy since we all bring stuff to eat, we pile our plates high with good stuff then head into the living room, everyone sits in the same spot every year, Mom gets the big green chair, Dad sits in his computer chair, Don and Karen sit on the sofa, Kathy sits in the rocker, Ron sits on the other chair. Doug and I snag the love seat, Chelsea plops down on the floor next to Doug and Chad gets to hand out the presents. Everyone is given 1 gift, then the first person opens their present and shows it all around, then the next one goes and this goes on until everyone has opened their gift, then it starts all over. This takes a while since there are so many to open, during the midst of all of this Don is busy sending Chelsea out to the kitchen to fill his plate back up, I Doug and I usually sneak out from time to time to get more goodies to munch on also. Then poor Chad is stuck handing out the presents and doesn't get to eat, but that's alright since he makes up for it later. The layout here was taken at Christmas 2005, we always try to get some family pictures in there some time and these pictures were to cute to pass up using on a layout, the one of the twins I have used before but I just never get tired of looking at those expressions on the kids. Chad is always so stoic and will not smile for a picture so I have to catch him before he is ready.

My mother-in-law is a florist and really has a knack for decorating Christmas trees, I guess from listening to Doug and his brothers Mom always decorated her tree with ornaments that they had made and multi-colored lights, well she got a new tree and she really does a gorgeous job on this tree, she does it all in gold with tons of the little white lights, it is breath-taking to look at. Now you have to know that the "boys" (boys being the term that Doug and his brothers are referred as)are all grown ups, adult men who live in their own homes and have their own families now, these "boys" could not believe that their Mother would change trees, she is not using their homemade ornaments anymore, these are grown men for goodness sakes, I just laugh at them since they are so silly and I just wish I could decorate a tree like Mom does.

My first assignment on the Plain Digital Wrapper Creative Team

I am so excited having been chosen to be on the Creative Team at Plain Digital Wrapper, I got my first assignment yesterday and the kits are absolutely wonderful. I had a lot of fun working on layouts with all 3 of these kits and everyone I have come into contact with on the CT are very nice and also very helpful so I think I really lucked into a great situation. I really hope that everyone will take a minute to stop in at Plain Digital Wrapper and have a look around, I am sure you will find lots of great things to work with in your digital scrapping.

The first kit I worked with is called Grunge Baby by Athena, the minute I saw this I knew just what pictures would go perfectly with it, Steven and Johnathan had a mud fest one day, they had a blast playing in the mud, I was not sure which one of them were having the best time but they sure were laughing and giggling a bunch. The end results of their playtime was muddy clothes, muddy feet, muddy hands and muddy faces but hey, everything is washable and a little dirt don't hurt.

This kit is beautiful, the background papers are fantastic with texture and I love texture, the elements are plentiful and there is just no end to the usefulness of this kit. You can find Athena's Grunge Baby kit at Plain Digital Wrapper.

When Beth went into labor a little over a month early and had to be transferred by ambulance to St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Youngstown we thought we would have plenty of time to get there, so we stopped for gas, Steven was hungry so we got subs from Subway to eat in the car, we finally get going and before we were halfway there Steven gets a phone call, it was Beth and she was being admitted to Labor and Delivery already, so Doug drove a little bit faster, as we are getting into Youngstown Steven got another phone call, the doctor was there and he decided she would need a C-Section, Doug drove a little faster, as we are trying to find the parking lot for the ER Steven got yet another phone call, they are getting ready to wheel her into a delivery suite, Doug really is driving way to fast now trying to get into the parking lot. Steven bailed out of the car and goes running for the ER entrance, they direct him to Labor and Delivery and very fortunately he made it upstairs, got changed into scrubs with the help of a nurse and made it into the delivery room before the events began to unfold. Beth was of course glad to see him but was a little miffed that we didn't bring her a sub..... Madison made her entrance into our world at 9:00 pm that night and was whisked away to the NICU after the kids got to hold her for a minute, it seemed like it was forever before we were allowed in to see her. Steven was taken in first, and she was doing pretty good, she needed just a little help and was on a little bit of CPAP but she was pink and pretty and had all the required body parts so we could deal with a little help. When they allowed Doug and I in he took one look at her and he was a goner, absolute goner over the little thing. Maddy weighed 5 lbs and 15 oz, seems Beth had developed gestational diabetes in the last 2 weeks of the pregnancy and Maddy had really grown which turned out to be in her favor actually. Maddy spent only 10 days in the NICU, she got a dose of Surfactant to help her lungs and she started to fly, the layout here is of Doug and Madison on Oct. 30th of this year, as you can see our little miracle is one healthy, happy baby and she has a Pappy who is totally stuck on her.

I love boys, I have some I love more than others but I love boys, they are fun and adventurous and full of wonder about the world. I am sure girls are too but I just have more experience with little boys, Steven was always so curious about everything, he asked a million questions a day it seemed, now he is getting paid back, his little boy Johnathan who just lights up my heart with that smile is always wanting to know everything. That child has more why questions than I could ever imagine, I have always heard that you pay for your raising, well, Steven is paying for all those questions he asked me, he was always satisfied pretty well with any answer I came up with to his questions, Johnathan is not so easily satisfied, he does not take well to the answer "just because", oh no, he needs more than that to satisfy his curiosity. My wish for my adorable grandson is that he strives to be the very best Johnathan he can be and that he always reach for what he wants, I would give him the moon and the stars if I could. So my little angel boy, always reach for the stars.....

When I saw this kit I fell in love with it, the word art alone is enough to make you want the kit but wow, everything that is included in it is unreal, wonderful background papers and elements that just scream to be on a scrapbook page. I have some exciting news, at least for me it is exciting. I applied for the Creative Team at Plain Digital Wrapper and was accepted to be part of their team, I was thrilled when I got the email asking me to join them. I owe a huge thank you to my friend Enigma who really encouraged me to give it a try, I never really thought I would be good enough to get on a store's team like PDW. I have put together some Christmas stuff that I made that will coordinate with the paper packs shown in an earlier post (those are still downloadable) as a freebie and a way to celebrate my good news. I hope you enjoy these and can find something to use them for. There are no drop shadows on the elements, that is just on the preview. I've been scrapping today.

Well I started scrapping this evening when Doug went to work and have been doing it ever since. I did find out this morning that my blog was picked up by DigiFree which is pretty cool, I will be making some more stuff in the near future to put up as freebies so I hope I get a little more exposure that way. Well, I started working on these layouts this evening and decided to try something a bit different, I made my daughter a tag to put up on her MySpace page, I hope she likes it.

This is another layout done from Homecoming of Chad and his date, the color almost matches her dress and if you look close enough you can almost see that Chad is grinning just a bit in one of the poses.

I don't think that I had ever scrapped a page of Ron and Kathy, that is my other brother-in-law and his partner, we were all gathered at Mom and Dad's last year after Christmas for a little dinner with Dad's side of the family.

This picture of Chelbug I took last year at Christmas time, the kids think I am obsessed with my camera, I don't know why they think that, just because I lurk behind the corner with it all the time, geesh, they are gonna give me a complex or something. I do enjoy taking pictures, don't want to be in them but I do love taking them and I have such a great family and they indulge me so it's all good.

I almost forgot to add the other 2 layouts I did today, I finally got around to scrapping this picture of Ruthie from Halloween LAST year, what can I say, so many pictures, so little time.

This is a man whom I have a lot of respect for, no, he is not my father, he is my sister-in-law's father and I consider her to be very lucky to have him.

Freebie Christmas papers

I made some background papers playing around and I really like doing the papers, not so good on making the embellishments but I love paper, I think it is my favorite thing in a scrapbooking kit. Anyhow, these are just some textured papers, I hope someone can find some use for them.

A better day

I have been scrapping a bit and that always makes for a better day for me. The first layout is of my granddaughter and my daughter, Chelsea is absolutely wonderful with kids and that big smile on her face is so pretty to see, one day Madison will get to look at this and see just how much her Aunt Chelsea loves her.

The next layout is of my son and my granddaughter, Steven has always shied away from a camera but he doesn't seem to mind getting his picture taken with his kids, good thing since I love to take pictures of my family. I hope he always remembers to give her big hugs and I hope she never gets to big to want those good hugs from her Daddy.

This is my Doug, he is truly one of the good guys, he calls me his princess and he makes me feel like one every day, even if he won't buy me a tiara. Doug always takes such good care of me and I could not ask for a better partner in life or a better best friend. Angel, I love you and I hope you know I always will.

New family layouts

Well I have been scrapping again, it is just about my favorite pass time, I love working with photos of my family. This first layout is my daughter-in-law with my adorable granddaughter Madison, I really like working with black and white pictures, there is just something about a black and white photo, I can't put my finger on it but they are just so rich looking. All the layouts I am posting today were made from kit that my friend Enigma designed, the kit is called Timeless and you can find her kit at Sweet N Sassy Digi Scrappers or at Mischief Scrapz and be sure and check out Enigma's blog here.

The next layout is done with a beautiful little girl who is very dear to our hearts, she is such a character and her big ole blue eyes are just enchanting.

This layout is done with a picture of my father-in-law and 2 of his sisters, we had a family get together last year after Christmas, it was a lot of fun and I learned a lot about my father-in-law's family just sitting there listening to them talk about when they were younger.

I saved my favorite for last, this is my husband Doug and our grandchildren, Johnathan and Madison, if you ever read any of the comments left on my blog most of them are from him, I could never have asked for anyone more supportive than my husband, I am a very fortunate woman to have married such a wonderful man.

Football Pages

These are just a couple of really simple layouts I did tonight with pictures of Chad during the football game last week. Wellsville won 60 - 6 against the Sebring Trojans, it was Senior Night at home and it was nice to see our Senior boys come off the field together as the fans stood and cheered them on. It seems like yesterday that Chad and Chelsea were in second grade, I am sure the next 2 years will fly by and it will be our son coming off the field to the cheers of the crowd. So far this season I believe Chad has scored 10 touchdowns, 4 2 point conversions, I think 3 or 4 interceptions and the same for fumble recoveries, I am sure if I am wrong someone will let me know. I can't count the number of tackles he has been in on and he had a very nice quarterback sack this past week for about a 10 yard loss. Here are the layouts, very simple but very much my style.

More Family Scrapping

Doug and I went to see the kids on Thursday afternoon and of course the camera came out, I got some really cute pictures of the grandbabies, Johnathan is such a little ham, he does love to have his picture taken, he even agreed to hold Madison to take a picture with her, I haven't gotten those scrapped yet but I did get one done of Miss Maddy sitting in her saucer thing, she is going so fast.

Doug and I and the twins went to see the kids again on Saturday and guess what I took, the camera of course, I got some really wonderful pictures, I have only scrapped a couple of pages so far from them though, one is of Doug, me and the twins, somehow I got us all crammed into the stairway and Steven started taking pictures, he is pretty good with my camera.

Another Homecoming Layout

I finished another layout of Chad and his date on Homecoming night, of course I had some bumps along the way, my computer decided it was time to stop recognizing my external hard drive, which of course is where all my play things are stored. I thought it was going to be melt down time for sure, but thanks to my friend Enigma and her never-ending amount of patience with me it all got worked out, even with the ranting and raving and threats to throw it through the window.

This past Saturday was our high school's Fall Homecoming dance, my son went and took a very pretty young lady who he has been going with for quite a while now. I got some pretty good shots of him alone and wanted to get them scrapped.

Remembering our babies

Oct. 15th is Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Day, in honor of that day a wonderful scrap designer that I know made a kit to share with everyone for free. I took advantage of this offer and made this layout. My son and daughter-in-law got pregnant last year with twin girls, they picked out their names, Meeka Anne and Madison Rhea, the doctors insisted on calling them Baby A and Baby B, Baby A was always the most active when it was sonogram time and the kids decided to name her Meeka Anne, Anne after my daughter-in-law since she was always doing something, Baby B was to be Madison Rhea since she was the lazy one during the sonogram, Rhea after my son, they chose to use both their middle names but just changed Ray to a girl's spelling. Well on a routine OB visit with the high risk doctor on Valentine's Day of this year we were told that Baby A had died, our entire family was devastated by this news. The kids really took it hard and had some rough time to get through together, as the mother all I could do was sit back and offer as much support as a grown son will take and be there for both of them when they needed me, my husband was a big source of strength for me and for the kids also.

Beth continued to carry both twins for the rest of the pregnancy and delivered them 6 weeks early, Madison needed a little help at first and was in the NICU for 10 days but she is a trooper and came home to us after those few short days, at the time it seemed like forever but I am so grateful that she got to come home to her family. My son did a lot of growing up during that pregnancy and I am very proud of him for that, somewhere along the way he went from being the son who was not always the most responsible guy around to being the man he is now. Our Maddygirl is now 5 months old and very healthy, we are all very grateful that we have her in our lives everyday but Meeka will always be in our hearts, when Madison is old enough to understand the kids plan on telling her about her twin sister, that will be a very difficult talk I am sure but I know they will handle it with grace.

I have been scrapping

I have been scrapping my heart out, I have enjoyed doing the layouts I am going to share with you. The first layout is of my adorable grandson Johnathan, this was his preschool picture from last year, that mischievous smile of his lets his personality shine through.

This one is my Johnathan with his little sister Madison, this picture was taken in July of this year when Madison was just 2 1/2 months old, she is a real cutie but then again I might be a little prejudice about this baby girl.

This next layout I did with pictures I got from one of our high school football games, my son Chad plays varsity football and his twin sister Chelsea is in the marching band.

This is my husband Doug and our twins, Chad and Chelsea, we were messing around in the backyard and since I am camera happy and we were being a little silly I told them to strike a pose and this is what they did, it really turned out to be a cute picture of the 3 of them. I am very blessed to have these 3 as part of my family, even when they can drive me to distraction I love them with all my heart and I am very proud of each of them.

Well, welcome to my little corner of the internet, I am getting this started due to a friend who has convinced me that someone other than myself and my family might like some of the scrapbook layouts that I do. So Enigma, thanks for the support and the kick in the pants. The layout you see below is done using Enigma's scrapkit Sunset Dreams. I hope you enjoy this layout, it is of my kids who are 13 in the picture dated 2005 and 16 in the one dated 2008. I adore these kids and they know it. They are both very active in school so that makes my husband Doug and I very active in school too, somehow I thought at my age I was done with high school, boy was I wrong. Once I get used to this I will be posting more and sharing more layouts with you, and I hope you come back and see me real soon.
